Metro South Oral Health Service Scheme
Whitesmile Dental care provides emergency and general treatment under this state government run scheme. Eligible persons with Health care cards or Pensioner Concession cards may be entitled to have care provided under this scheme.
Emergency treatment
A $260 voucher may be issued by Metro South Oral Health Service to provide emergency care under this scheme. In the event that the course of care is greater than this amount Metro South may at their discretion provide additional funding beyond this sum. Generally 2 emergency vouchers can be used each year.
General Treatment
A $750 voucher for general dental treatment may also be issued to eligible persons. On occasion Metro South has approved treatment in excess of this following examination and assessment and application to Metro South.
